The Royal Fashion

To be honest with you I did not plan on paying much attention to the Royal Wedding. Yes, I had my DVR set to record it but I did not get up at 4am to follow along. Well, I flipped it on while getting ready for work and of course found myself glued to the TV. I was fascinated by the fashion, music and the traditions.

The hats and fashion did not disappoint either...

We have had some crazy and unfortunately sever weather the past few weeks in Georgia and last nights storms really topped it off. I am over the constant rain but do wish I had any of these fun  umbrellas or one of the many colors of Hunter Wellies...

I want a gelato...

Love this photo on the home page of Anthropologie! It caught my eye while I was stopping by to see what was new with Anthro. I am such a fan of green and shades of coral.

It totally has me wanting a new dress for Spring and some gelato!

Happy Hour: Blushing Mimosa

With Easter right around the corner a few things come to mind...Easter egg hunts, church, family, brunch and MIMOSAS!

Here is a twist on the classic adapted from this recipe:

Prep: The classic mimosa is equal parts orange juice and Champagne. In this recipe, pineapple juice and grenadine add a twist of flavor and color.

Ingredients

• 2 cups orange juice (not from concentrate)
• 1 cup pineapple juice, chilled
• 2 tablespoons grenadine
• 1 (750-milliliter) bottle Champagne or sparkling wine, chilled

Preparation:

• Stir together first 3 ingredients.
• Pour equal parts orange juice mixture and Champagne into Champagne flutes.
• Makes 6 cups

She has been blogging since 2008 and has a lot of friends out there in the blogged world so I was excited to see I was 1 of her chosen 10. You must check out her blog which started as a support system through her battle with breast cancer and a way to share her family life. She beat it once but unfortunately the cancer came back and she is currently in the process of kicking its butt again. Her strength and positive attitude inspire me and I think of her on a daily basis! Thank you for passing along the award and for being you!

1. I grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania until I was 7 and then moved to Michigan.

2. I met my husband 7 years ago on a Carribbean cruise and I moved from Chicago to Atlanta 3 months later to be with him. We have been married for 2 years!

3 of my nieces pictured here-they have beautiful photography skills and are so creative!

3. I have 8 nieces and 1 nephew and they all played a part in my wedding!

4. I am a reality show junkie and will give just about any show a chance!

 

 5. I can easlily get lost in a pile of magazines rather than a book-I buy way too many!

 

6. My husband and I love to travel and hope to make Spain our next destination in 2012!

7. I love my pup Ryder...best little guy ever!

I am counting down until Easter well really until my Grandma and Mom arrive on Friday!  I have a lot to prep this week but unfortunately I am not going to have time to decorate any Easter Eggs. I would display any of these in my house...I love the non-traditional ones!

Mindless Monday...Hole-in-One

I am not much a sports fan but each year I get a little more sucked in to The Masters. I love that it is played here in Georgia so there is always so much buzz around Atlanta during Masters week. This year's final day did not disappoint, it was a very exciting final round.

I promise you won't see any more sports related posts but I will say going to see The Masters at Augusta National is definitely on my bucket list.
