Mindless Monday...Sunday Funday!

It felt like Springtime in Atlanta over the weekend but unfortunately it is a rainy Monday morning. I had a relaxing but productive weekend. 

 First off, I gave my pup Ryder a much needed bath!

We really look forward to Sunday family dinners in our house. Our sisters both live near by so we hosted them for dinner and a movie. The hubby got a Big Green Egg for Christmas which is a post for another day but he made pork tenderloin with a blackberry reduction-so yummy! I made potatoes and green beans for the sides...stay tuned for those recipes later this week.

My SIL was in charge of dessert and her Ricotta Blintzes w/ Boysenberry Syrup did not disappoint!

Another week has ended but it was full of fabulous content. Here are a few of my favorites links...

Another amazing edition Rue Magazine was released. These girls are so talented and I love their vision! It was such an honor to meet them at lavish in December.  

I was so jealous of the fun being had in Salt Lake City at the Alt Design Summit but I hope to attend next year. There are so many reviews floating around out there but I particularly liked the one over at With Style & Grace. A new blog I stumbled upon and love!

I totally want on of these Moroccan Poufs in my house. They can be used in any room. (via Kristen Ellis Design & Pulp Design Studios-the new company from Beth at Hello Splendor)

ban.do launched their new site this week along with some more accessories that sparkle...perfect for Valentines Day!

Sweet Clementine

We are big fans of clementines in our house. They are perfect afternoon snack when I have a craving for something sweet.  I love the time of year when they are in season the and little crates fill up the produce area. There are so many unique and yummy ways to use clementines. I may have to try some of these fun recipes...

Loves: Christian Louboutin

I want these but who doesn't want a pair of red soled Louboutins?!?! The classic black are on my wishlist, that way I can wear them with everything!

Feeling Crafty with Felt

I have been eyeing these felt balls for a while now...how fun are they?!?!

The wreath is my favorite! I think I may take the plunge and follow these instructions and order the felt balls from here.  It sounds like hard work but totally worth the effort so I will keep you updated.

Recipe: Chocolate Dipped Pretzels

I wanted to share the recipe for the Chocolate Dipped Pretzels that I made around Christmas time but are the perfect sweet treat for anytime of the year.

I used a variation of this recipe here from Martha Stewart:

The chocolate melted very easily in the microwave

I did a few with Peanut Butter as the first layer-amazing!

I melted Peanut Butter in the microwave and drizzled it over a few of them and the non pareils added a fun splash of color

Time to enjoy!



This was such an easy and fun recipe. I packaged some up and gave them to my SIL as a hostess gift.

This is the time of year I crave to be some where warm especially after the snow that Atlanta experienced last week. I am in need of a beach location vacation and the Maldives Islands looks amazing!

The Alila Villas Hadahaa would be my resort of choice.

Sleep Easy w/ Lonny

One of our first projects of 2011 is to finish our bedroom. We have all of the major pieces we just need to add the personal touches with art, pictures, mirrors and knick knacks.

I loved these to photos...both are very much our taste!

Recipe: Egg-in-a-Hole

I have been so excited to try a recipe from The Pioneer Woman's Cookbook-one of my favorite Christmas presents.  There are so many that sound amazing!

I decided to go with the Egg-in-a-Hole but we made it for dinner. Breakfast for dinner is a favorite in our house!

I used a small glass to make the hole

 Carefully crack each egg in to the hole & sprinkle w/ salt and pepper

       Let it set for 1-2 minutes then flip. I love how the  bread gets toasty from the butter!

     I topped ours off with cheddar cheese, a slice of bacon  and fresh green onions
 

I also tried the Twice Baked Potatoes and they were yummy!

Well, it feels like winter in Atlanta.  We have about 6 inches of snow which is the most that we haved had in a very long time. The city has pretty much come to a hault and so we are snowed in!
