Wanting a Fireplace

Hope you had as wonderful of a Thanksgiving as I did and ate as much as I did! Now it is back to the daily grind.

With the holiday times upon us and the weather changing one thing that I would love to add to my house would be a fireplace. It makes a room feel that much more cozy and comfortable plus it gives you one more place to decorate!

How amazing are these fireplaces?

What is one thing you would change about your home?

Some of my favorite things...

It is that time of year...Oprah's Favorite Things!  She does it just in time for the holiday shopping season and it didn't disappoint this year.  I am always so jealous of that audience and have tried multiple times to get a ticket to any Oprah show but no such luck.

It got me thinking what some of my favorite things are this year and after visiting the kate spade store this weekend I found a few items to add to my list.

I am still in the process of putting together my Christmas list so stay tuned for that post!

What is on your Christmas list this year?

Mindless Monday...

Mondays are not so bad when you have a short week of work! All I have on my mind today is all things Thanksgiving...

I am looking forward to spending the long weekend cooking, eating, spending time with my family and maybe do some shopping!

What are your holiday plans?

Loves: NW Boots...I hope!

I just ordered these from Nine West yesterday and I am very anxious to get them in the mail.  I don't shop online a lot for myself...I enjoy seeing the items firsthand but I came across a great deal and figured to try them out.  The style is simple and the color will go with everything!

I hope I love them as much as I do right now...stay tuned!

Etsy find: pixelimpress

I am so excited to get my new business cards in the mail this week. I ordered them for lavish the unconference for the social networker. It is taking place in Atlanta December 10-12th. I am looking forward to meeting bloggers from around the country as well as hearing from some well know bloggers like coco+kelley.

I came across these amazing business cards on Etsy at the shop of pixelimpress. The bright colors and modern style prints caught my eye.

I chose the chevron print in the Kate Spade Green (shown above) and the purple (shown below).  I thought having two colors might be fun! I ordered them on Friday and she said the turnaround is about 3-5 days.

Here are a couple other items that are on my wishlist! Be sure to check her out.

Beautiful Books

I have been on the hunt for some new accessories that I can display in my office/guestroom. We are in the process of redecorating it and a few beautiful books would be a great addition.

Here are a few of my favorites that are on my list:

"Things We Love" was just published by Kate Spade New York.  It is beautifully put together and classic just like their purses!

I feel lucky to know the designer behind NEAPOLITAN Paper & Home!  She recovers vintage books with marbelized papers and the title is done in black caligraphy to finish it off. Each book is unique and is turned into a work of art. One of her books was just featured on The Nate Berkus show on Wednesday with the editor of Lonny.

These are the 2 that I am contemplating!

Every office needs a dictionary and why not have a beautiful one...

I plan on going to the Scott Antique Market tomorrow morning so I will be on the hunt for some fun knick knacks.

What are your plans for the weekend?

I LOVE Target

I can make quick work in a Target and it never ceases to amaze me how much money I can spend in such a short period of time. I stopped in on my way home from work to grab a couple picture frames for the photo wall project but came out with a few additional pieces for my closet.

Here are my 2 favorite things that I bought:

I am excited for the additional outfits I will be able to create with just a jacket and a tunic.

What are you favorite Target finds lately?

Weekend Wrap-Up

I had such a pleasant surprise this morning when I saw that my blog was featutured by Completely Eclipsed. She chooses a blog each week and I am honored to be part of her project. Thank you Melissa! Be sure to check her blog out if you haven't already.

I said my weekend was going to be spent eating, drinking and shopping and I was right on point!

I did some damage with my MIL and SILs on Saturday and they helped me find frames for my photo wall project. The next step is to pick 21 pictures from Italy but that shouldn't be hard considering I have over 1700 to choose from! Here is the lay out so far:

We had an amazing dinner at Spoon on Saturday evening. If you live in Atlanta I would highly recommend it!

On Sunday we made our way to Serenbe for the 10th Annual Afternoon in the Country. This is on our top 10 list of favorite things to do in Atlanta. There were tastings from over 70 of Atlanta's best restaurants, caterers, wineries and retailers. It is one of the most prestigious food and wine festivals.

I also got to see my favorite Top Chef contestant Kevin Gillespie. I have been trying to get a reservation at his restaurant Woodfire Grill but the reservations are 2 weeks out. He has a couple things up his sleeve for next year and I am looking forward to seeing what happens!

What was your favorite weekend activity?

My Own Space

It has been a crazy week and I am a little behind on my posts.

My hubby and I are in the process of redecorating our office. This is a shared space and it will be a mix of feminine and mascaline but sometimes I wish I had my own girly space.

These are some of my favorites...

I love the feminine touches, splashes of pink and the chandeliers...such beautiful places to work in!

I am excited for the weekend to spend time with my family that is visiting from Ohio...eating, drinking and shopping!!

Any plans for the weekend?
