Loves: Tory Burch Wedges

I got an early Christmas present from my mom during her visit a couple weeks ago. I have been wanting a pair of Tory Burch wedges and decided on these. They are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I own and I have been wearing them everyday to work.

I love them and can't wait to purchase my next pair of Tory Burch's!

I am looking forward to another relaxing weekend at home. I have never been a huge fan of dressing up for Halloween but will continue our tradition of having a few people over for appetizers and cocktails to pass out candy. I love to see all of the kids in their costumes.

What are your Halloween weekend plans?

Pretty Pumpkins

I love anything that sparkles and I wanted these glitter pumpkins by Martha Stewart as soon as I saw them. I went to Michaels and loaded up on my materials, luckily I had the perfect pumpkins for the project.

I was feeling extra crafty that day and tackled another idea that I saw on one of my favorite blogs- Centsational Girl.

I think they turned out beautiful and they will be a decoration I can keep out until Thanksgiving!

What DIY project has inspired you recently?

Recipe: Martha Stewart's Short Ribs

Sunday night dinners are a big deal in our house and I am always looking to try new things. I have been wanting to make Short Ribs and thought a nice Fall day would be perfect.  I knew Martha Stewart would have a fantastic recipe and so I went with this one.

Mindless Monday...

Monday's can be hard to get out of bed and a morning thunderstorm can make that even harder. I enjoy seeing the flashes of lightening and hearing rumbles of thunder while being curled up on my couch under a blanket.

It is going to be a rainy couple of days in Atlanta and I am wishing I had some rain boots as glamorous as these...

Currently obsessing over...

GAP has some amazing jeans right now. I already found my favorite skinny jeans at J. Crew but was looking for a bootcut or flare and came across these two styles at GAP.

The best part about it is they were 40% off!  I  can't wait to put them with the perfect boot (which I am still in the market for) and a comfy sweater.

Do you have a favorite pair of jeans for Fall?

Party by a Bridge

I went to San Francisco in Febuary for the first time and totally wanted to move there.  It is a beautiful city and one of my favorite aspects about it is being on the water. A big city on the water has so much to offer. First of all you have an amazing spot to throw a dinner party.

This San Francisco based party planner has some fantastic ideas.

Where is the most unique place you have attended an event?

Fabulous Weekend

I have been a little busy entertaining my mom this weekend and I have missed the blog world. The weather was perfect and we had a jam packed visit.

Here are some of my favorite highlights from the weekend...

Pizza from Antico

An afternoon of shopping at Nordstrom...more on that in a later post!

Amazing food and craft drinks from Holman & Finch

Homemade Apple Pie

It was great to spend some quality time with my family but it always seem to go so fast.

What did you do over the weekend?

In Full Bloom

How amazing are these flowers? Check out all of the fun pieces that Emerson and her husband Ryan create over at Emersonmade. They add a little flare to any outfit.

Love these!

Loves: Old Navy Flats

I wanted to share one of my favorite purchases with you-my Old Navy Taupe Flats.  They are amazing, go with everything and were $20!  You can't beat that for a pair of shoes that I wear all of the time.

I originally bought them for our trip to Italy and then ended up wearing them almost everyday. The first couple days were rough since I had to break them in but now they are so comfortable.

I may go and pick up another pair for when I wear these out.

Do you have a shoe that you are currently obsessed with?

Mindless Monday...

I had a fantastic weekend enjoying the weather outside, cooking and being with friends. I was also very productive! Coming back to work is always hard but a good cupcake will always cheer you up!

There are so many ways to enjoy a cupcake but here are a few of my favorites...

I may have to treat myself this afternoon to a little sweet treat!

Happy Hour: Spiked Mauled Cider

I am really looking forward to this weekend because I am going to be doing 2 of my favorite Fall activities... tailgating for a college football game and visiting an apple orchard in the North Georgia mountains.

Ingredients:
1 gallon apple cider
Dark rum-to taste!
2 cinnamon sticks
1 sliced orange

Preparation:
Place all of the ingredients in a crock pot or large pot on the stove and heat through. Do not boil.  Keep on low once the desired temperature is reached. Enjoy!

I make this for Thanksgiving and it is always a hit! I love that it just sits all day and you can add to it when needed. This is the perfect cocktail to carry in a thermos for the tailgate to keep you warm.

Here is a recipe by Martha Stewart.

Cheers,
Sara

The Writing is on the Wall

I have been obsessing over anything chalkboard lately, especially chalkboard painted walls. I think they are perfect for a kids room, office or kitchen. It adds a fun twist to a room!

I would love to have a small chalkboard wall in my kitchen but right now that is not in the cards so here are some other options that I found that will fulfill my need.
