Party Dresses Galore!

I am celebrating my birthday tomorrow night with friends and I am in need of a new party dress for the occasion. I have been doing a bit of shopping recently (I bought the Nine West shoes from this post!) so Forever 21 is in my budget for this purchase.

A nice little Saturday...

One of my favorite Saturday activities during the summer is to head over to the Peachtree Road Farmers Market. It has turned into a tradition with my friend Kristen and I. We mosey through the booths, enjoy the samples and pick up a few items for the week.

We always finish up the morning with Souper Jenny's lobster salad on a fresh Holman & Finch bun. It is amazing!!

We were very lucky to catch Ford Fry from JCT Kitchen doing a chef demo this past Saturday. JCT is one of my favorite restaurants and I can't wait to celebrate my birthday at their upstairs bar this coming weekend!

Italy on my mind...

It's Friday and I am ready for the weekend!

I came across this amazing hotel while researching for our trip to Italy. Capri is not on our list of destinations but this hotel is tempting!

Ciao bella...

Accessory Overload: Charming CHARLIE

During a recent trip to NC to visit some family I was introduced to Charming CHARLIE.  I had never been to one but the best way to describe it is-Claire's on steroids.  We were in there for an hour and I am sure I missed a few things.

It is organized by color and has everything for jewelry, purses, shoes, sunglasses and even a small amount of clothes.

Come to find out there are a few locations in the suburbs of Atlanta so I will be making another trip!

take a chance-Kate Spade

I love the interactive display that Cheree Berry designed for a Kate Spade store in St. Louis. She created a grid pattern with hundreds of envelopes filled with  little messages -"crash a party" & "embrace color". It is another great use of bright colors by KS!

I would love to see this installation in the Atlanta store!

Sweet Treat Friday!

Chocomize-custom chocolate bars. What a fun concept and they are so pretty! I came across their website and was hooked when I saw these sample creations. They have a wide array of toppings-candy, herbs, cereals, pretzels and fruits. You can create a savory or a sweet candy bar. Great ideas for wedding or shower favors.

I love the story on how it was founded. Read about it here.

I love the Smores Bar with the Teddie Grahams! If I was to design one it would definitely involve peanut butter!

Chocomize has a contest going on until next Friday to create a bar that will be featured on their website. What kind would you make?

Love: Kate Spade

Much more than just a great handbag!

You will probably start seeing a pattern in my posts-Kate Spade! I love her simplistic and classic style with touches of bright colors and unique fabrics make everything pop.  I have been amazed how many more product lines Kate Spade has created over the years.  I remember the original box-shaped handbag and now there are bags in every shape and size, jewelry, sunglasses, glassware, clothes, shoes, stationary and even iPhone and iPod covers. What will be next?

Green with Envy!

I was looking around for inspiration to redesign my guest room, which I will post about at a later date, but came across a few pictures that caught my eye. Green is one of my favorite colors and I love how it is used in each of these photos in different rooms.  The pop of color makes such a statement in the room but is not too crazy for my style.

What colors do you like to use to add a pop to a room?

Happy Friday!  I am headed to the beach this weekend but will be posting a cocktail that also keep as one of my summer staples!

Wish List: Charm & Chain

A friend of mine had this necklace on last weekend and I loved it!  My go to summer tops are solid colored tanks...in every color.  I have been looking to add some flair to them with some chunky or long necklaces.

At first glance I thought she was wearing multiple necklaces and had created the look herself but it is one piece. I love the different textures and it has every color which makes it a very versatile accessory.

Luckily my birthday is this month...this is definitely on my wish list!

Recipe: Buffalo Chicken Dip

Happy 4th of July! I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend...I know I am! I even have time for a quick post.

It is picnic time and I had to prepare a dish today to bring to a neighbors house. One of my favorite go to recipes for parties is Buffalo Chicken Dip. I have combined a few recipes and created one that I feel is the best!

8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup ranch salad dressing

3/4 cup any flavor Buffalo FRANK’S® REDHOT® Sauce

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Shredded meat from a fully cooked rotisserie chicken (about 2 cups)

DIRECTIONS:

HEAT oven to 350°F.

Place cream cheese into deep baking dish. Stir until smooth.

MIX in salad dressing, Frank’s RedHot Sauce and cheese. Stir in chicken.

BAKE 20 min. or until mixture is heated through; stir.

Serve with fresh baguette and celery

Enjoy!

Which ones???

I am in need of a couple pairs of sandal flats for for my trip to Italy that I blogged about in my earlier post. My current sandal collection consists of mainly Havaianas and wedges. In Italy walking around all day in wedges is just not going to work.  The perfect sandal would allow me to go from a day of sightseeing to an evening enjoying a cocktail.

It is going to be a hard descision but I think I will be inspired once I start shopping for clothes...which will be a later post!

Happy Friday!!
